Joe T. Garcia's has been a Fort Worth institution since 1935, when Joe T. and Jesusita "Mama Sus" Garcia opened a tiny café that has since sprawled into a block-long compound of fountains, gardens and patios seating hundreds. The menu is famously simple — family-style enchiladas and fajitas — and it's cash only, but the margaritas and the setting keep the lines long.
Still owned by the founding family and a James Beard America's Classics honoree, it's the 2025 Centurion Award winner in Fort Worth.
