Aurora Fox Arts Center
Best Community Theater in Aurora · CO
Aurora's 1946 movie palace turned live stage
The Aurora Fox Arts Center is the anchor of Aurora's Colfax arts district, a 1946 movie palace reborn as a live community theater. After a fire and a full renovation, it reopened as a producing playhouse in 1985 and has staged mainstage plays and musicals for the Colfax corridor ever since.
Home to a resident company and a busy season of drama, comedy, and musical theater, the Fox remains a genuinely local institution — the kind of neighborhood stage where Aurora audiences see professional-caliber work close to home.
