Since 2015, Freaky Foot Tours has been walking Flagstaff after dark — lantern-lit, top-hatted, and steeped in the town’s genuinely strange history. Founded by mother-son duo Susan Johnson and Nick Jones, it remains what it started as: a locally owned, locally obsessed operation that knows which floorboards of downtown creak and exactly why.
A decade in, the numbers back the theater. More than 1,000 five-star reviews across Google, Tripadvisor, Viator, and Airbnb. Tripadvisor’s #1 nightlife attraction in Flagstaff three years running. Best of Flagstaff wins for guided tours in 2023 and 2024, plus a sustainability award for keeping the whole show on foot and eco-friendly. In 2025, the public record cleared our bar too: the Centurion Award for Best Walking & Ghost Tour in Flagstaff.
Tours run year-round from 212 W Aspen Ave, with tickets from $25 — book ahead on weekends and in October, when the whole town wants a ghost story.
